Samantha Levine, Founder / Samantha  created and directed the New York City Girls Project while a Deputy Press Secretary in the New York City Office of the Mayor, Mayor Michael Bloomberg. As a spokesperson for the Mayor she also oversaw the communications offices of New York City’s dozen health and human service agencies. She has a strong history of working in women’s health and rights. Prior to joining the Mayor's office, she was the director of marketing and media relations for NARAL Pro-Choice New York and communications director for Planned Parenthood of New York City. Most recently Samantha was a consultant for Tina Brown Live Media Women/Women in the World and a writer for The Daily Beast and Women in the World. She and Dennis helped the City of Washington of DC produce the More Than Pretty campaign, which Samantha and Dennis created. 

Dennis Ahlgrim, Creative Director / Dennis is the Creative Director and President of Ahlgrim Design Group. Dennis has worked in the communication design industry for over 25 years. He began his career in publishing, working as Art Director for several print publications in New York City. For the past 15 years, he has worked at a variety of creative agencies in New York City and Seattle, delivering high-level communications, advertising, and brand identities for industries such as Financial Services (Calvert Investments, Pershing, LLC., Fiduciary Trust, Morgan Stanley), High-Tech (Microsoft, Aventail, Co-telligent), Entertainment (Lifetime TV, Broadway Video) and other global entities (accenture, Cushman & Wakefield). In January of 2009, Dennis formed Ahlgrim Design Group (ADG). His current roster of clients include: Open Society Foundations; The Century Foundation; Wellspring Advisors; Center for Reproductive Rights; Food Bank for New York City; NYU Wagner School; American Diabetes Association; US Green Building Council; and Robin Hood Foundation. Dennis has taught Brand Identity at NYU’s School of Continuing Professional Studies, and has been recognized by The Society of Publication Designers, HOW magazine, Mercomm, Association of American Publishers, Applied Arts, and Folio magazines Ozzie Awards for excellence in design. Working with Samantha, Dennis was the creative director and designer behind New York City's I'm a Girl Campaign and Washington, DC's More than Pretty campaign.
